Simple Pleasures

Simple Pleasures was the first show at Crowd6 and featured work from the four founding members. Having finally got hold of a space after weeks of looking we decided that the first thing to do was to get some work up as soon as possible and open our doors to the viewing public. The show featured a diverse range of work including a video projection of an apparently alien inhabited landscape (Naomi Bulmer, Venus), a glamouress blond enjoying a sexy break at the Radison, with her cardboard cut out boyfriend (Elizabeth Short, Angel), a man permanently on the brink of tipping is chair over (Jamie Randall, Stop riding Your Chair) and a table adorned with the view under a skirt (Steven Varndell, Upside Down).

We had a great opening night and were packed full of cheery Birmingham art goers for three hours before closing the gallery for the night and heading to the pub.

See below for images of the work, video on the way.
